Who dominates whom between media and society?

The media has profoundly shaped our world and has changed our lives in both big and small ways. The technology change around us has happened both quickly and imperceptibly. The first connections between computers nearly fifty years ago have been transformed into a wave of connectivity that covers the planet. New devices and innovations have given us more ways to harness the power of connectivity wherever we go and have given us functionality we could never have imagined. Society does determine the development of the media, and the biggest factor is morality. Moral requirements are the basic bottom line of media practice. Many of them cannot be measured by law and cannot be regulated by law, and the morality of the media directly affects the audience. But compared with the decisive role of morality in the media, the media changes more significantly to the society.Take the Internet as an example, the changes which Internet brings to our society are as follows.

First, dissemination of information

The Internet has the characteristics of spanning time and space, it can easily release and spread information. The information released on the Internet will be paid attention to by users all over the world. The speed and scope of information dissemination are beyond imagination, making the dissemination of social information more efficient, convenient and comprehensive.

Second, promoting scientific and technological progress

The emergence of the Internet has greatly promoted the progress of science and technology, and made the development of science and technology more rapid and comprehensive. For example, online education, online shopping, online games and so on, all of which are achieved by the existence of the Internet.

Third, promoting social and cultural development

The Internet has greatly promoted the development of social and culture, such as network social networking, video websites, etc., which have greatly changed people's way of life, so that people can easily and quickly socialize, thus promoting the development of society.

Fourth, stimulating innovative thinking

The emergence of the Internet makes it easier for people to access global information, thus inspiring more innovative ideas. Innovative ideas on the network can be used to stimulate and develop new technologies and new products, so as to better improve human life.

Fifth, strengthening international trade

The Internet makes international trade become more developed, through the Internet, it can easily carry out international trade, so as to promote the development of the world economy. In addition, the Internet also makes international trade more transparent and protects the legitimate rights and interests of both sides in international trade.

The emergence of the Internet has greatly changed the development of the society. It not only promotes the progress of science and technology, but also promotes the cultural development of the society, stimulating innovative thinking and strengthening international trade, thus greatly promoting the development of the society. The rapid development of the Internet has expanded human exchanges to an unprecedented scope and provided a realistic basis for the integration of cultures of various countries. However, the existence of a global electronic information network only increases mutual understanding or provides an opportunity for ways to de-escalate conflicts, and does not in itself imply conflict resolution. In fact, in the context of network globalization, the contradictions and conflicts between countries and peoples have expanded in scope, diversified in content forms, and have appeared more frequently. Thus, in my opinion, the media has changed the society from the whole.
